The Curious Case of Clint Frazier
There are not a lot of words left to describe Clint Frazier. Angry? Upset? Destructive? Since becoming a Yankee Clint Frazier has been treated like the desperate ex-girlfriend who is waiting for any sign to be taken back. When you're trying to get over a breakup, sure call her and she will help, but when you are back in a steady relationship you kick her to curb. Not only do I feel bad for Clint Frazier, but I feel mad for Clint Frazier. Clint Frazier is a professional, major league caliber hitter. He would be in the starting lineup for roughly 26/30 major league squads. The Yanks decide to use him when they feel like it. He's up, he's down, he's trade bait, he's on the taxi squad. The Yankees after this season are going to need to make a choice with Clint. Either make him apart of your future (the easy choice) or trade him to a team where he will have a future. Yeah, yeah, baseball is a "business", but guess what so is Clint Frazier's career. You can waste away a player's prime years by calling him up and down ruining his value until you lose all your options on him.
The Yankees last night let him out of his pen like a pissed off bull and he went absolutely ape-shit. He was a triple shy of the cycle just pissing on baseballs. Oh, but Brett has been a leader for years, and Hicks has so much power. I could not give less of a damn, I really couldn't. Brett Gardner is hitting .171, Aaron Hicks is hitting .227. Enough is enough. Play the best players available. LET CLINT PLAY.
